Sequoia Publishing, Inc. is a small, privately held company that started publishing in March 1989 with the release of Pocket Ref, 1st Edition. Operations were based in Littleton, Colorado until March 2016, at which time the company moved to Anchorage, Alaska. With over 6 million books in print, Sequoia has established itself as a highly successful small business in the very competitive world of publishing.

Tom is the founder and President of Sequoia Publishing. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Texas. He is a registered AAPG Geologist. He has a broad background in engineering, computers and electronics and has been a small business entrepreneur since 1980. Tom is the author of Sequoia’s best-selling, flagship product Pocket Ref and has co-authored many other books since 1989. Tom and Mary Glover are the owners of Sequoia Publishing, Inc.
Mary is the corporation’s Treasurer and is responsible for the company’s daily accounting. She has been with Sequoia Publishing since 1996, when she married Tom Glover and she helps out with various other literary tasks in the publishing company. She attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM and Western New Mexico University in Silver City, NM. While living in Albuquerque, she became a Certified Legal Assistant and was in that position to the senior partners of two different law firms during her 23 years in the legal field. She worked in Business Law and Intellectual Property law areas. She is also a past President of the National Association of Legal Secretaries, New Mexico Chapter. Mary has strong computer and accounting skills, is an Alaska EMT2, and plays the violin and quilts in whatever spare time there is.
Bill is the Operations Manager of Sequoia Publishing. He was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He grew up during the heyday of the pipeline era in the 1970’s and has seen Anchorage grow into a sprawling tourist destination. Growing up in Alaska, flying, fishing and camping with the family, always filled the weekends. Bill is an Eagle Scout and still involved in Scouting BSA. He earned a Bachelor of Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Bill has excellent people skills and is a highly organized individual. He has been an employee of Sequoia Publishing since 2016.
Richard is an author and civil engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, a Master of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and is a registered professional engineer. He worked as a civil engineer with the Corps of Engineers in New Orleans from 1968 to 1979 and as a civil engineer/research engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation in Denver from 1980 to 1994. He has worked as an author / researcher / compiler for Sequoia Publishing, Inc. and Blue WIllow, Inc. since 1994. He is the co-author of of Sequoia’s Handyman In Your Pocket and Desk Ref.
